I’ve always had a passion for Biology

When I chose to go into nursing school, I wanted to be a S.A.N.E. (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Nurse or work with babies.

I had always been drawn to all the Law & Order shows since they began. Up until I had the triplets, I had seen every episode of every show. I felt it being a S.A.N.E. nurse would allow me to assist in Justice, as well as, be compassionate support to women who needed help & possibly a voice!

It would be many years later that I end up being a patient & go through a S.A.N.E. exam myself. It takes the right professionals in that position. When they say the exam is almost as horrible as the traumatic event itself…. They aren’t being dramatic.

I was already working on my prerequisites for nursing school & had finished just weeks, before giving birth to Olivia! After having her, I was positive labor & delivery or working with babies would be what I wanted to do.

Later, I’d have the triplets & met my NICU nurse friends & felt maybe that would be the type of nurse I’d be great support as! Having experienced having triplets on the NICU, I entered nursing school when the triplets were 2 years old at the University of Louisiana.

I‘ve never strayed from the health or biology focus in my life for too long! Health, Fitness, & the psychology & biology of human beings has always been interesting to me!
