What is Success To You?

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮?

I can tell you, I used to equate it to money pretty much only.

Now, I know the money in your bank account doesn’t amount to anything particularly meaningful.

Andy Frisella put an email out last week saying, most millionaires he knew were actually stupid & couldn’t tell you the difference between “you’re” & “your.”

In the last 10 years…to 7 years, especially in the last 2 years, my idea of success has completely changed.

I want to know if you’re a good person ?

I want to know if you & your significant other have a good relationship ?

I want to know what kind of people you have around you?

I want to know if you’re loyal and a good friend when no one is looking ?

I want to know if your respect lasts longer than our conversation ?

I want to know if you have boundary issues?

I want to know if you talk out both sides of your mouth & lie to get what you want?

I really no longer equate success with money. It can be a marker for sure, but if your personality completely sucks…then who cares?

In the last month, it seemed like I was confronted with a specific type of mentality & tested on what I was willing to do to have the “success” they have. I wasn’t willing to betray friendships or go back on my word. I wasn’t willing to not be in integrity & in alignment with my values. I just wasn’t willing, and I got angry when those boundaries were tested. Even, today, my “no” wasn’t enough for a specific person, and I’m having difficulty processing the arrogance. Boundaries just don’t apply to them. They know me & what I want better than I do.

My heart goes out to men that choose to reject meaningful relationships, solely because they feel there’s a dollar amount they have to come in at to be valued by a woman. I think most women of value want to be apart of building the empire with the Emperor.

I’ve seen so many people become unattractive right before my eyes, because there’s no substance. Or because the mask came off.
