Rejection is Divine Protection

"Rejection is God's Divine Protection" ~ Anyone ever drop that on you? Me too!

There have been plenty of clients I didn't get, relationships that didn't work out or I didn't get to be in, podcasts, and speaking engagements I wasn't selected for. I didn't enjoy hearing that particular piece of wisdom at the time, when I was in the desire phase and filled with emotion about the person or situation. Rejection does, in fact, end up being God's protection though!

There's more than one engagement and relationship I was hoping would go the distance, and didn't for one reason or another. Looking back, because hindsight is 20/20, those "gentlemen" wouldn't have been equipped to handle some of the things I've gone through. I would have depended on them like a man, and they would have behaved like a child when I needed them most.

On the other hand, there were some relationships I didn't get to be in, and I got to watch who they chose, and how that relationship played out. God knew I didn't need more black eyes, broken noses, and to be cheated on...again. That would have been an additional unhealed man to add to the list. I was devastated until I could see why. Sometimes you don't get to know or see why though. You just have to accept you are being protected, and there's something better for you. Someone who will love your quirky quirks, the fact that BS triggers you, your crow's feet, and stretch marks.

There have also been business situations that if they had panned out, I wouldn't have had the ideas I'm having right now, nor would I have acted on them. I wouldn't have had to go back to the drawing board, reevaluate, and reconsider what else I had to offer to the world.

It's all good, and it's always working out. Even if you can't see it just right yet.
