Essential Oils
When I was first introduced to essential oils, I didn't really understand what they were. My sister-in-law would give them to me as gifts, and because I didn't understand them, they overwhelmed me, and stayed in my bathroom drawer. I thought they were just to make your house smell good. I didn't realize they actually had healing & medicinal value and purpose.
Years down the road, I went to a bible study at a friend's home from church, and the essential oils were incorporated into the bible study. Hyssop oil is for respiratory issues, and wouldn't you know it, hyssop leaves were waved over Jesus to assist him in drawing his last breath so that he could say, "It is finished." Many oils are actually sacred and predate modern medicine. After being with Olivia in the hospital, I am aware modern medicine values them as well. I was putting Frankincense, Hyssop, and Sandalwood on her back every day. I wasn't thinking and put it on her chest at first, and even though they smell great, it was too much for her being on chemotherapy. I had to wash her chest, and reapply everything on her back, because it made her nauseous.
My sister-in-law is a doTERRA consultant, and I am both a doTERRA and a Young Living Consultant. I actually see value in both companies! However, I favor and build out doTERRA more.
If you are someone with gifts, I do caution you in treating people. I treated someone with an attachment, without keeping that in mind, while I was putting Frankincense and Hyssop oil on their chest for a common cold. I became incredibly ill very shortly after each morning I was treating him. I spoke to my friend from church, and her friend who put on the bible study, at a later bible study, and told them what happened. This was one of the ways my gifts were confirmed. They explained there was an attachment on that person, and it made me ill trying to attach to me. I hadn't told them I knew the person had an attachment. Just keep in mind these oils are both medicinal and sacred when using them.
